We meet with our builders to learn a little about their business model in order to ensure that we are a great compliment to what you are hoping to accomplish with each new build project. Most of those we work with, elect to include the cost of a set amount of hours for their clients to work with Talena to help make the selections needed. We make ourselves aware of your timeline for all selections so as to always be out in front of your progress. We then document every selection required along the way so you may have your client sign off before purchases are made and installation has begun.
How many times has a client made a selection, signed off and still not liked the choice after it was installed halting progress? This inevitably results in a costly change order for the client and regardless of fault, they will still be unhappy and looking to place blame elsewhere. Having a professional designer who has been on the builder’s side of this equation as well, is invaluable. Of course we are all in business to make a profit but we also always want a happy client who will sing our praises to everyone who will listen. Having a liaison between your project managers and clients provides a buffer that proves to be extremely helpful time and time again.

Furthermore, 3D renderings provide you with the best way to communicate to your contractor exactly what you want making the construction process go smoothly.

Her service is designed to accommodate you and your needs. If you enjoy the process of the hunt and would like to shop alongside her for the materials, she will happily arrange that with you. If you prefer a more concierge service where she brings options for you to view at your home or office at your convenience, she is happy to accommodate you. Finally, once you have landed on a layout and selected the finishes, she will put everything into 3D renderings so you can get a great sense of what the finished look will be, leaving you feeling confident in your choices.
The renderings include photos from several different angles, measurements, a spec sheet and locations of everything selected. They are yours to hand off to your builder. This is imperative to ensuring that your construction goes as smoothly as possible. It gives you an easy way to communicate what you want to your contractor and to provide him/her as a point of reference so the details can be communicated to the installers.
